Job Description

The Advanced Equipment Systems Division (AES) is a focused group within the larger Air Liquide Electronics (ALE) organization that specializes in providing chemical and specialty gas management equipment solutions. Team members are chemical and mechanical engineers, electrical and controls engineers, programmers, manufacturing technicians and field service engineers. The core expertise of this team includes everything related to the delivery of process molecules: equipment design, material compatibility, safety requirements, component selection, controls design and integration, flow and pressure optimization, installation and start-up, and turnkey project management.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor product trans-fill systems to fill cylinders or bulk containers by pressure, temperature and/or weight to meet stringent customer requirements. Products are high and ultra high purity and include inert and hazardous gases and gas mixtures.

  • Accurately perform the necessary calculations for weight and pressure additions for gas mixtures.

  • Select the proper packaging for a given product or order and ensure containers meet or exceed all regulatory, company and customer requirements.

  • Maintain adequate raw material inventory levels and report month end quantities accurately.

  • Manage customer orders to ensure they are filled in a timely manner and ship on time.

  • Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and understand when to initiate proper escalation of equipment issues.

  • Maintain general work area as per 5S methodology.

  • Understand and comply with all applicable HS&E Standards and regulations including, but not limited to: PPE, Forklift Operations, Lock Out/Tag Out Program, Respiratory, PSM/RMP, etc.

  • Daily inspection and operation of a forklift, jack pallet truck and other cylinder movement type equipment.

  • Provide information for and initiate proper reporting procedures for all safety and quality issues per on-site policies.

  • Assist in the maintenance and improvement of applicable site-specific procedures and protocols.

  • Accountable for the safety of all persons and the general public surrounding facility. Safety is a condition of continued employment.

  • Satisfactorily complete Cylinder Fill Tech Level I local OJT minimum requirements within 6 months in job grade.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 0-2 years experience in manufacturing or industrial plant environment

  • Good mechanical skills and aptitude

  • Ability to accurately perform basic arithmetic calculations

  • Full range of motion and ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds

  • Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment

  • Self motivated to learn

  • Ability to work on different shifts as required

  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to give instructions clearly

  • Ability to understand, abide by and enforce stringent safety rules

  • Experience in the semiconductor or chemical/specialty gas field, military technical/mechanical rating or nuclear field, mechanical field or equivalent industry preferred

The hourly rate range for this position in Pennsylvania is $22.00 to $24.00
