Primary Function:

The Burn Table Operator is primarily responsible for operating plasma or gas burning table equipment to cut and shape metal.

Typical Duties:

• Reads job descriptions to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Positions workpiece; sets, stops, or guides pieces according to specifications.
• Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions.
• Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

• 1-4+ years' experience operating a plasma or gas burning table.
• Previous crane operation experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot operating issues on burning equipment.
• Ability to interpret drawings.
• Abilit to perform work with minimal to no supervision with minimal errors.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Legible printing/ handwriting skills.
