Pay

Salaried grade 10
$88,328 - $101,837 / year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Actual salary may vary and in some cases may be higher with extensive experience and strong performance.

Schedule

Mon - Fri 7A - 4P; flexibility required as schedule may be adjusted based on business needs

Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Shipping Superintendent to join our Manufacturing Services team. The superintendent will be responsible for the overall direction and coordination of the shipping and bakery store operations. Key responsibilities include leading and developing people, championing change/improvements, and developing and fostering collaborative relationships across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides key leadership for a three-shift operation to achieve maximum employee safety, product and process quality, food safety, productivity and job satisfaction
  • Leads the development of strategies for areas of responsibility to ensure operations remains competitive and is positioned to meet emerging challenges and support new company strategies
  • Develops and fosters collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the company to facilitate the achievement of company and Stuarts Draft Operations goals, and ensures leadership team does the same
  • Controls and reduces costs by determining causes for issues and taking action as appropriate
  • Initiates and drives improvement in all areas of responsibility
  • Provides resources that enable direct leadership team to achieve success

Required Qualifications

The following is required for you to be considered for the role:

  • Education: Two years (31+ semester hours) of college OR equivalent experience (Four years) in a related position AND
  • Experience: Three years of McKee supervisory experience OR three years of external supervisory experience with direct reports
  • Demonstrated ability to develop direct reports to achieve higher levels of capability and performance, organize and prioritize multiple activities, create an environment characterized by employee involvement and development, continuous improvement, and trust and transparency
  • Outstanding technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of initiative, assertiveness and self-direction
  • Willingness to work various shifts as required to support operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree in business, management, computer science, or a relevant math or science discipline
  • Advanced degree in the one of the above fields
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional organizational skills including the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet or exceed deadlines
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills including well-developed verbal skills, interpersonal skills, and strong presentation skills
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to assimilate new information and processes quickly
  • Exhibit strong computer application software skills (i.e. MS- Excel, Workday, and Kronos)
