The Sr Advisor will be providing commercial, structuring, economic and risk analysis in support of the evaluation of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures for the Power business unit (BU) in North American, including any potential monetization and/or partnerships with Indigenous Nations or Tribes.

What You Will Do:

Under the guidance of the Director, Power M&A Strategy, as well asotherDirectors and Managersin Power Commercial and Power BD, the Sr. Advisor will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Evaluate whether acquisition or divestment initiatives align with the overall Power BU Strategy.Lead and support analysis of key transaction initiatives, including, but not limited to, commercial terms, structuring, economic viability, and key execution and/or operability risks

  • Build and maintain various screening tools to evaluate Power BU opportunities.

  • Manage cross-functional teams to complete transaction processes, including leading due diligence efforts.

  • Analyze informationand stay currenton a wide variety of issues including power industry activities, ISO/RTO markets, supply and demand fundamentals, and economic parameters to support commercial structuring, financial modeling and project evaluations.

  • Work with key functional support areas including corporate development, investment review, treasury, tax, legal, accounting and Power operations to ensure all necessary and appropriate considerations included and evaluated.

Who You Are:
  • You possess a related university degree with seven or more years of relevant experience in corporate finance or business development roles (such as Investment Banking, project finance, capital markets, accounting /modelling, or consultancy) Equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered.

  • Superior business evaluation, commercial negotiation and structuring skills.

  • Strong familiarity with commercial legal agreements associated with greenfield, acquisition/divestment projects or financings.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Ability to work optimally in, and handle, cross-functional teams

  • Solid understanding of industry, commercial, regulatory, taxation and accounting issues.

Physical requirements:
