Job Description

Air Liquide Electronics innovative electronic materials respond to increasingly challenging customer demands for improved mobility, connectivity, computing power and energy consumption. On site, manufacturers rely on our expertise in providing full management of these gases, advanced molecules and equipment and in helping to continuously improve production processes.

Electronic Specialty Gases (ESG) is a focused product line within the larger Air Liquide Electronics (ALE) organization that specializes in providing a diverse portfolio of highly purified specialty gases to our customers. The ESG product line is poised for strong growth over the coming years as leading semiconductor companies are making multi-billion dollar investments to expand manufacturing capacity in the United States and globally. The Morrisville PA plant is expanding its chemical process engineering and technical team to ensure it is well poised for these growth opportunities.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

This position requires the driver to work in an over the road (OTR) operation delivering within the contiguous United States, making deliveries and pick ups as needed by our customers and operations teams. Within the scope of business need, work life balance is an important priority for ALE and we will make accommodations for our employees as we are able.

  • Delivery and pickup of chemicals / compressed gases.

  • Physically loading and unloading of material, using adequate equipment (forklift, manual or electrical jack, cylinder cart, etc.).

  • Understand and follow proper spill / emergency cleanup procedures.

  • Check proper labeling of all materials and correct errors if found.

  • Direct interface with internal & external customers.

  • Support waste reduction & recycling programs.

  • Complete paperwork as required (daily trip sheets including ELD logs, and vehicle inspection reports, inbound product reports, etc.).

  • Any and all other duties related to a hazmat commercial trucker driver's roles and responsibilities.

  • ALE uses OmniTracs ELD logs and Lytx Camera technology as part of our Road Safety program.

  • We operate tractors less than 5 years old as a general rule to maintain current with the latest safety equipment

  • Perform a pre and post trip inspection of the tractor and trailer assigned.

  • Safely complete the coupling of the tractor and trailer if necessary.

  • Safely maneuver the tractor and trailer at highway speeds and also through city and suburban roads and to include vendor and customer sites following all posted driving restrictions.

  • Know the rules set by the DOT as stated in the CFR 49 for the safe transport of hazardous materials and follow those rules.

  • Safely back trailer as needed to accomplish the daily objectives set for each route.

  • Follow the procedures set by Air Liquide concerning Smith System and the get out and look (GOAL) program. Chock all parked equipment.

  • Any and all other duties related to a hazmat commercial trucker driver's roles and responsibilities.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification.

  • 1 year of chemical / compressed gas experience or willing to train the right candidate.

  • Minimum 25 years of age.

  • Must possess a valid Class A commercial driver's license with Hazmat and Tank endorsements.

  • Driver's license must be for state of domicile, with a clean driving record.

  • Must have initiative and be self-motivated.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to work independently, be organized and able to safely multitask.

  • Dedicated to safety and quality .

  • Crank a trailer landing gear handle upward or down to adjust trailer height so a safe tractor & trailer coupling may be achieved.

  • Pull with some resistance a Fifth wheel lock handle when uncoupling a tractor & trailer

  • Capable of lifting and sustaining the weight of 50lbs

  • Climb in and out of cab and up and down the catwalk/trailer behind the cab to remove and apply glad hand air supply or change placards as needed at each delivery location.

  • Strap and ratchet cylinders on an Air Liquide steel pallet.

  • Roll one cylinder for a distance of 10 feet.

  • Transport 2 cylinders at a time with a cart on distances of 20ft- 150ft.

  • Any and all other duties related to a hazmat commercial trucker driver's roles and responsibilities.

The hourly rate range for this position in Texas is $23.00 - $26.00
