UDR, Inc. and its affiliated companies are seeking a Make Ready Technician to join our team at Addison Apartments at the Park, our apartment community located in Addison, TX.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position reports to the maintenance supervisor or property manager and requires attention to detail and the ability to follow directions. A Make-Ready / Punch Tech turns recently vacated homes into apartments ready for occupancy.

MAKE READY JOB DUTIES

  • Trash out recently vacated apartments
  • Change bulbs, locks, minor carpentry, replace filters, etc.
  • Repair general punch items
  • Exterior/ Interior painting and caulking, light drywall repair
  • Lift 40-50 lbs.

MAKE READY REQUIREMENTS

  • Construction, hotel/apartment or general maintenance experience preferred
  • Have dependable transportation to and from work
  • Have a strong work ethic with reliability and dependability
  • Enjoy working with others and taking direction when needed
  • Maintain a friendly and customer service oriented approach to co-workers and customers

Essential Job Functions:

Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the community by ensuring that grounds, amenities, building exteriors/interiors, market ready units, breezeways, curbs, signage, leasing office, central garbage areas, parking lots and other buildings and common areas are free of debris, trash, graffiti, and other items which affect the appearance of the community. All deficiencies and or risk management safety issues are reported immediately.

Ensure that apartments are ready for occupancy by performing various and as needed electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, and other miscellaneous equipment maintenance and repairs, as well as carpet cleaning, painting, and overall apartment cleaning or other activities as necessary or as directed.

Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.

Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.
