This position is accountable for ensuring continuity and successful delivery of functional payroll services to meet current and future business needs throughout the organization. Responsible for collaborating with payroll partners, various departments, and outside vendors to develop efficient and effective processes and workflows as well as analyzing and directing all functionally related activities within the scope of the Payroll HRIS.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a go-to subject matter expert for the ADP Vantage Payroll Community.
  • Lead the continuous evaluation and evolution of Payroll Systems that include time and attendance, payroll systems, and integrations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, application operational efficiency, and security.
  • Responsible for the successful implementation, maintenance, operations, configuration, and optimization of ADP Vantage including being the Company liaison for all ADP Change Management.
  • Ensure system compliance with data security, privacy requirements and federal, state, and local laws.
  • Serve as a system administrator, responsible for role-based user security and ensuring appropriate user access and data integrity.
  • Identify and troubleshoot system issues and work with others (IT, Payroll partners, vendors) as needed to bring to resolution.
  • Assist with data analytics and reporting capabilities, ensuring systems are optimized to reduce manual reporting and drive consistency.
  • Assist in the development of standard reports for ongoing team needs and maintain data integrity in systems by performing audits, running queries, and analyzing data.
  • Develop end-user procedures, guidelines, and workflow documentation that has a focus on harmonization and collaborating on Payroll team training.
  • Listens to payroll needs and helps train by explaining complex technical issues and solutions in a plain and common descriptive manner.
  • Work cross-functionally to understand business needs and provide actionable insights for ongoing customer needs.
  • Assist with audits and reporting.
  • Conduct or support year end payroll tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree information systems or related field
  • 5 to 7 years of HRIS and HR process/system improvement experience (ADP Vantage required) with 3+ years of experience managing HRIS implementations/enhancements.
  • Must understand the system development lifecycle process.
  • Must be analytical and detail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with strong Excel skills.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Able to work in an environment with frequent interruptions and changing tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work in and manage ambiguity, including dealing effectively with issues that do not always have a process, system, or solution in place.
  • Continuous learner interested in both tinkering with software and navigating the complexities of Payroll.
  • Experience handling sensitive, confidential organizational, department, and performance information.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be able to envision big picture and design for end-to-end needs, as role involves both a tactical / technical and strategic component.
  • Capacity to understand business needs and design workflows and processes in accordance. Project Management skills and experience preferred.
