What you'll be doing...


The Customer Experience organization creates products that will radically amplify VCG growth, efficiencies and core business capabilities. The organization is not only focused on strengthening Verizon Consumer Group's position in its current market but also shaping the go-to-market approach to create new revenue pathways that leverage VCG's business capabilities.


The AI Product Strategy Senior Manager, will be responsible for identifying opportunities to leverage AI capabilities and products required to reduce the cognitive burden on VCG's frontline employees. The Sr. Manager will be defining and designing Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) solutions end to end, including but not limited to: solution design, solution development life-cycle, solution implementation, and demonstration of business value.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing a vision, strategy, and roadmap for products based on analytics and AI/ML that drive business outcomes, while considering user feedback, competitive analysis, and business goals

  • Responsible for defining and designing new product capabilities , including the development of business requirements, planning, business justification, verification, forecasting, pricing, profitability, and business impact

  • Partnering with business and technology stakeholders in identifying business requirements, functional design, process design, testing, training, and defining support procedures

  • Leading solution design and prototype development for potential new capabilities

  • Building collaborative relationships with business partners, working closely with Business and Product Managers to ensure roadmaps are driving business value/benefits

  • Evaluating opportunities and impact of recommended initiatives to prioritize work. Formulate planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting strategies

  • Leading multiple cross-functional teams charged with improving the customer and employee experiences and implementing strategic enterprise-wide efficiency-driving programs

  • Preparing and executing regular strategy updates to senior management

What we're looking for...

You have an imaginative mind set and extensive experience with strategic AI/ML driven initiatives. You are comfortable working in an innovation-focused environment - in particular, evaluating emerging trends and technologies to assess their viability as related to business goals. You are a self-starter and a quick learner, to have a futurist mindset, and are able to innovate and report on tasks and status proactively.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience

  • Experience in developing AI and data product capabilities and strategy

  • Experience in designing, developing, and deploying AI/ ML projects

  • Experience partnering with business owners, product managers and data scientists to build and implement AI use cases


Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • MBA/Master's degree in computer science, data science, or an AI-related discipline

  • Five or more years of experience in strategy, consulting, business transformation, product strategy, product management/ technology management

  • Professional degrees with a combination of business and technical domain expertise

  • Experience in a large, complex organization with service offerings in the U.S

  • Experience across multiple industries and understanding of how technology enables business outcomes and how various parts of a technology ecosystem support business strategy

  • Business, technical, digital, and AI acumen and understanding the business implications of technological changes

  • Demonstrated digital capabilities and understanding of the potential of advanced technologies and AI to create new competitive advantages

  • Experience operating in a complex, changing, and dynamic environment

  • Excellent analytical, project management, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Understanding of GenAI products - LLMs, RAG, LangChain, etc

  • Working knowledge of Data Visualization

  • Experience with call center and retail technology/ systems

  • Proficiency in engaging, presenting, and influencing large teams, functional leaders, and telling a compelling story to an executive audience in a highly matrixed organization
