Position Summary:

Join our team as Vallen's Assembler I. This position performs often highly detailed / technical and repetitive assembly, drilling, cutting, wiring, testing, packaging, labeling and the various other tasks required in the production of electrical control panels and sub-assemblies. Under the supervision of the production supervisor and/or lead person the systems assembler drills, cuts, wires, tests, packages and labels various subassemblies and electrical products.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs often highly detailed / technical and highly repetitive assembly, drilling, cutting, wiring, testing, packaging and labeling.
  • Refers questions to the lead person and/or production supervisor.
  • Notifies the lead person and/or production supervisor of part discrepancies in regards to production, appearance and/or quality issues.
  • Notifies the lead person and/or production supervisor of any potential inventory or shop supply shortages.
  • Insures parts are correctly identified.
  • Recognizes all component parts in assigned work cell.
  • Assists in the maintaining of machines.
  • Communicates with the Engineering Department concerning quality issues.
  • Communicates with the lead person and/or production supervisor in regards to machine priority and malfunction.
  • Reviews production orders with the lead person and/or production supervisor.
  • Assists in the training of new associates regarding job duties and production techniques.
  • Works to standard assembly procedures as established.
  • Maintains a steady rate of work so as to meet or exceed standard labor costs.
  • Maintains productivity board as required.
  • Performs other duties as deemed necessary or as required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or
  • 3-4 years or more related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous electrical experience is required
