Job Details:

Purpose

This position will support multiple ongoing research projects on predictive vision, flexible decision-making, and sensory uncertainty.

The earliest start date for this position is August 16, 2024.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise animal wellbeing and enrichment protocols

  • Implementation and documentation of behavioral impact of new enrichmentprotocols

  • Preparation and cataloging of sterile surgical instruments

  • Upkeep and assembly of animal care equipment

  • Stocking and organization of lab consumables

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized laboratory space

  • Recruitment of human subjects for psychophysical experimentation

  • Other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in scientific, psychological, or technical field.

  • Animal related work experience.

  • Experience conducting psychophysical experiments.

  • Experience working with federal/state regulatory bodies.

  • A strong work ethic and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated organizational ability.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in maintaining rigorous standards of food hygiene and food safety protocols

  • Ability to work independently and follow SOP instructions precisely

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong background and interest in neuroscience and perceptual systems

  • Ability to perform as a member of a research team

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changes

Salary Range

$22.00 hourly rate
