Aspen Tech is a global leader in providing technical software solutions for process manufacturing industries. We are currently seeking Sales Account Executives with proven software sales experience, or industry experience in a consultative selling role.

The Sales Account Executive role is directly responsible for generating revenue growth through the sale of AspenTech software solutions and professional services. This a customer facing role that requires self-motivated individuals with excellent business, and sales knowledge. The Sales Account Executive will use consultative skills to position AspenTech software and services solutions with our customers and to renew and grow our business. The Sales Account Executive will manage assigned accounts and opportunities maximizing revenue growth and deepening our relationships with customers. Coordinates account resources with representatives from marketing, pre-sales engineering, and development.

Your Impact
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales quota with exceptional forecast predictability.
  • Achieve assigned objectives of sales pipeline development and sales progression/ velocity.
  • Manage day to day sales process, coordinate account meetings, and coordinate sales support resources.
  • Provide sales and executive management with account updates, sales forecasts, and operational usage of SalesForce.com
  • Coordinate and lead multidivisional account teams to achieve customer success.
  • Work as a team leader and member collaboratively on sales engagements involving global account opportunities.
  • Develop and nurture C Level relationships at assigned customers, with the intention of having referenceable customers and becoming a trusted advisor.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's Degree with experience selling software, preference for experience with industrial or applications software or selling to Industrial customers within the process industries.
  • Proven software sales experience or industry experience in a consultative selling role.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of the sales cycle and ability to manage complex sales processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Additional consideration for candidates with:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, Industrial, Production, or Petroleum engineering.
  • Experience selling to customers in the Energy/Petroleum/Engineering industry.
  • Familiarity with process modeling software products and services, advance process control / real time optimization, manufacturing execution systems and planning and scheduling solutions preferred.
  • Process industry knowledge.
