Location:

Abilene, TX - Retail shop

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

You will troubleshoot and perform maintenance on welding systems and products distributed by the Company. You will perform work at the branch and at customer sites as required.

In particular, you will:

  • Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs and/or perform routine maintenance and NIST traceable calibration on all types of Airgas equipment and products including, but not limited to:

    • Manual, robotic and semi-automatic GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, and PAW welding equipment including many custom semi-automatic systems.

    • Orbital tube and pipe welding systems.

    • High purity bulk and cylinder gas systems.

    • Integrated welding and motion control systems.

  • Maintain company provided diagnostic equipment, tools and other equipment in clean, good working condition within manufacturer's recommendations.

  • Communicate with vendors, customers, sales staff, store managers and others, providing information on repair times, ordering of parts and supplies, etc. Maintain inventory of parts in the Airgas facility.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of two (2) years electrical and/or electronic experience/or training or equivalent

  • Valid state driver's license with clean driving record.

  • Ability to regularly lift up to 60lbs and move 125+ lbs with the aid of material moving equipment.

  • Must be able to travel 10 - 20%
