Job Description
Summary

Enerflex desires a designer with a natural gas compression drafting in vessels, including the detailing of fabrication drawings. The Support Designer is responsible for design aspects surrounding pressure vessels according to the requirements of ASME Sect. VIII, Div. 1, company standards and customer specifications. This person will be responsible for making 3D computer generated (CAD) drawings of parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies from engineering sketches, calculations, and/or instructions and transforming the steel, vessel, and piping components into 2D pdf drawings showing welding/fabrication and Bill of Material (BOM) details.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties
  • Produce solid models of pressure vessels per applicable company/customer specifications, ASME Code calculations, vessel sketches and other engineering data.
  • Produce pressure vessel fabrication drawings with applicable details, bills of material and notes from the solid models.
  • Interact with Project Engineers and Project Designers to facilitate integration of pressure vessels into the overall projects.
  • Aid project designers and project engineers with various design tasks, including creating/modifying P&IDs, detailing steel drawings, and creating Isometric spool drawings.
  • Assist with fabrication/design requests from various groups within the company.
Qualifications
  • Proficient at 3D modeling in AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in the use of CADWorx Plant.
  • 1-4 years experience in the design and drafting of Pressure Vessels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Basic understanding of ASME Sect. VIII, Div. 1 and ASME Code calculations.
  • Basic understanding of how pressure vessels are constructed.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
  • Overtime as required.
Physical Requirements

Fast-paced general office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
