Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish
TWU seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish for the 2024-25 academic year to support a vibrant, growing minor and proposed major in Spanish Translation and Interpretation for Healthcare on the Denton campus. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in the communicative method, have experience teaching synchronous online courses at the 1000 and 2000 levels, collaborate well in an interdisciplinary environment, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development (presentations and/or publications). PhD in hand required by September 1, 2025. Experience in interpretation and/or translation is helpful but not required. We are a small, vibrant faculty committed to excellent teaching, collegiality, collaboration, and innovation. The department will provide mentoring and support for professional development/travel. Teaching load is 4/4.
