Senior Director of Procurement: Overview

The Senior Director of Procurement will work closely with leadership in the development and execution of the procurement team's strategic and tactical approach to procurement and sourcing. This leader will be specifically focused on operationalizing process improvement, audit compliance, management reporting, supplier data integrity and projects to enhance infrastructure systems and tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead strategically critical projects that bring value to the company through cost reduction, strategic supplier relationships, supplier consolidation, cost/benefit financial analysis, and supplier quality management.

  • Define and implement process improvements to increase Business stakeholder satisfaction, reduce process cycle times and deliver efficiency gains while ensuring compliance and mitigating supplier risk.

  • Work in partnership with business leads to implement proactive purchase plans for key spend areas that organize and leverage demand management and value engineering.

  • Champion Change Management programs to influence behaviors across the business to align with a mature procurement model and assure timely execution of sourcing events.

  • Identify product specific needs, avenues of improvement, cost containment, and value engineering opportunities across the supplier ecosystem.

  • Work closely with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, standards, and ethical practices in all procurement activities.

  • Adjust or optimize current procurement policies, procedures, and programs with a focus on their ability to enhance organizational value, efficiency and offer support to our business teams.

  • Track appropriate supplier and sub-category opportunities to leverage competitive sourcing to further unlock incremental savings.

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supplier risk or effectiveness, cost management, performance, and compliance to legal, regulatory and company policies.

  • Facilitate communication between business units, internal stakeholders and suppliers that ensures the desired business requirement is achieved.

  • Manage Procurements organizational effectiveness through efficiency improvement and functional transformation.

  • Utilize, configure and oversee procurement software and tools used to analyze data, generate reports, and provide insights to drive informed decision-making.

  • Execute processes that track and communicate procurement budgets, reports, and metrics, and overall value contribution to senior management and other stakeholders.

  • Help develop, oversee and drive RPx processes including the creation and/or updating of policies and processes that establish the appropriate use case for leveraging strategic sourcing events.

  • Analyze market trends, demand forecasts, spend data, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within the across the global procurement ecosystem.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field

  • Minimum of 15+ years' experience in in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, with a focus on purchasing goods and services

  • Experience in project management, contract management, supplier relationship management, procurement forecasting, evaluating market trends, and dispute resolution.

  • Excellent knowledge of procurement best practices including denied party/compliance screening, supplier risk scoring and sourcing strategies.

  • Ability to work Remote with travel as needed.

The salary range for this position is: USD $152,311.10 - $197,688.89
Note: This is a virtual role based in North America.

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
