Internship details:
The Logistics Support Intern is an excellent opportunity that offers you the chance to explore and learn what it is like working for a global transportation, logistics and shipping company. This position is located in Irving, Texas. This is a 10-week temporary, full time onsite position, Monday through Friday.
As a Logistics Support Intern, you will rotate between several departments which may include: Pricing; Container Bookings; Vessel Operations/Equipment; Documentation/Customs/Billing; Accounts Receivable; Drayage /Intermodal and Operations. You will be exposed to tariffs and the quoting process; customer relations; vessel planning and port operations; customs and regulatory requirements; trucking and intermodal dispatch operations in addition to general company processes and procedures. This internship will provide insight into commercial container logistics; the support systems in place and the staff who implement solutions to industry challenges.
You will also handle various clerical and administrative tasks and projects under direct supervision and guidance.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Current enrollment in an accredited logistics degree or credential program required
Basic understanding of general principles of container shipping and global logistics
Some related work or formal volunteer experience preferred
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Familiarity with Microsoft Office software preferred

The expected salary range for this role is set forth below. Ranges may be modified in the future.
