The Production Manager has ownership for managing all non-exempt personnel in the warehouse and cleanroom as well as processes including but not limited to: Receiving, Shipping, Kit Building, Labeling and Boxing as well as any reporting or rework required.

What you will be doing?

  • Lead the production team, and take initiative to meet output, safety and compliance goals.
  • Ensure all SOP's and Work Instructions are followed throughout the manufacturing, labeling, sterilization, and packaging operations. Upholding good manufacturing processes (GMP's)
  • Schedule and ensure all training and cross training on various inspection and warehouse functions are assigned and completed.
  • Ensure Lean principles are followed, and continuous improvement is promoted. Transact, receipts, shipments, movements, and work orders in a MRP system.
  • Allocate resources based on objectives provided by manager, and the production attainment schedule provided by the Material Planner.
  • Facilitate daily operations standup meetings to track against those objectives. Report metrics against the attainment schedule.
  • Collaborate with the various engineering teams to resolve any production issues that may arise in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and abilities of the shop floor personnel.
  • Play a key role in the implementation of new processes, equipment, and products.
  • Enforce work standards and handle disciplinary processes.
  • Communicate effectively both with management for reporting, and with direct reports to give clear direction.
  • Assess direct reports annually per corporate performance review policy.

What you will need to be Successful?

  • Education: High School or Trade School Graduate (or GED) minimum, Bachelors Degree Preferred
  • Minimum 8-10 years' managerial experience in a manufacturing industry.
  • Prior experience with Medical Devices a plus.
  • Must be able to manage multiple direct reports both regular employee as well as temps.
  • Knowledge of ISO, FDA and QSR concepts and guidelines preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a positive and collaborative manner.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with Engineers, Managers and other support staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately, follow instructions/schedules/timelines and handle multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of various MS Office applications such as: Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience with SAP strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Windchill preferred.
