Travel Occasional M1 Support Services (M1) is looking for a Senior Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic - Field Service Representative (FSR). The Senior A&P Mechanic - FSR provides engine, airframe, and avionics technical guidance for the maintenance and operation of the T-1A aircraft and supporting systems. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Interacting with contract maintenance, civil service, and United States Air Force (USAF) military personnel performing T-1A on-equipment maintenance * Providing instruction, assistance, and on-the-job training in: * Operating and maintaining the aircraft and its avionics, propulsion, and support equipment systems * Resolving aircraft equipment or system anomalies * Performing aircraft equipment and system fault reporting and fault isolation procedures * Removing and installing components of the aircraft, demonstrating hands-on training of new tasks when requested by the Functional Area Commander/Chief (FAC). * Using handling equipment, special tools, and test equipment * Emphasizing safety precautions which should be taken during the operation and maintenance of the aircraft. * Providing interpretation of technical data set forth in Commercial Manuals/Technical Orders * Providing liaison relating to maintenance and operational problems which have been reported to the
Contractor by other aircraft customers. * Validating the best method for accomplishing SIs and time compliance technical orders or installing modification and retrofit kits. * Assisting in mishap investigations and materiel deficiency report evaluations * Performing hands-on training of aircraft peculiar support equipment maintained by COMBS. * Submitting Site FSR consolidated monthly reports. * Collaborating with Program Management to determine: * Additional training for organizational maintenance team personnel * Changes to operation, maintenance, inspection, and training requirements to improve system performance/reliability. * Validating first time parts requests and assisting in monitoring failure trending and analysis, and developing recommend corrective actions, especially for high failing rates. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent * Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license * 10 years maintenance experience on small multi-engine jet aircraft with at least five (5) years specifically on T-1A or Beechcraft 400A aircraft * Working knowledge of the interaction of maintenance and supply to include how maintenance and supply issues affect mission capable (MC) rates, to include knowledge on performance metrics such as Non-Mission Capable Maintenance (NMCM), Non- Mission Capable Supply (NMCS), and Non-Mission Capable Both (NMCB) Contingency position for a contract that has not been awarded. If M1 is awarded the contract, your resume will be evaluated against all other submissions. * Analytical capabilities such as, but not limited to forecast issues/problems with maintenance capabilities and parts availability. * Prior experience as an FSR including providing on-the-job training (OJT) in maintenance environment. * Must possess competent computer skills. * Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. * Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude.
