• The Medical Laboratory Technician performs clinical testing in one or more of the following laboratory areas: Chemistry; Serology; Microbiology; Hematology; and Urinalysis.
• A technician obtains or receives specimens, performs clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understands method principles, performs quality control, performs preventive maintenance and interprets results as to accuracy, acceptability and critical limits.
• The technician works with the Medical Technologist and supervisor organizing work to meet established deadlines and records necessary data.
• Under the direction of the section or shift supervisor, responsible for one 8 hour shift, 5 days per week.
• Incumbents are subject to working any shift, weekends, or holidays, and overtime as required by the director.

Job Requirements:

• AS in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent, with approved clinical laboratory training.
• Nationally recognized certification credentials or equivalent.
• Comply with regulatory requirements, guidelines, and policies

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 1 year experience preferred
