Job Description:

The Marketing Campaign Manager will play a key role in building, implementing, and measuring effective multi-channel marketing campaigns and strategies for Meow Wolf Houston. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Campaign Manager will take projects from design through execution with high energy and an otherworldly mentality. Part creative and part analytical, this organized individual has honed skills in marketing research, analytics, traditional/digital/experiential advertising, media planning, production, and branding to both build intrigue and maximize ticket sales, all while optimizing for the most cost-effective marketing strategies.

How you will do it...

  • Approve and/or guide the approval of all marketing, advertising, and collateral materials produced by our internal creative production team, as well as other partners, vendors, and agencies.

  • Manage the creation, production, and implementation of all marketing materials by internal and external agencies including printed/digital materials, signage, radio, TV, and outdoor advertising.

  • Develop effective multi-channel marketing campaign plans for Meow Wolf Houston.

  • Develop and implement in-person research surveys to inform marketing strategy.

  • Manage the implementation, tracking, and analysis of marketing campaigns, from concept to completion with a focus on driving ticket sales.

  • Deliver regular reports of campaign results, including web analysis and evaluation of KPIs/ROI.

  • Manage the profitability of the project, with the responsibility to complete high-quality projects that fulfill business objectives, on time and budget.

  • Write, edit and proofread copy for materials within marketing campaigns and PR materials.

  • Continually manage the expectations of partners, senior management, and internal departments through clear and concise communication.

  • Proactively research new processes and analysis metrics to enhance the understanding of the marketing tactics that are implemented.

  • Work with partners, agencies, and vendors to manage and approve the development and oversight of annual media budgets.

  • Collaborate on the preparation of creative briefs to identify marketing objectives, differentiation, and creative development.

  • Oversee 3rd party contractors, production partners, and support teams to drive experiential and other marketing initiatives and events.

  • Proactively keep up to date with current trends and events in marketing, social technologies, new media, and relevant industries (i.e., themed and immersive entertainment).

To be successful in this role...

  • 5+ years of marketing, advertising, or agency experience, ideally in attractions, entertainment, service, resort industries, or equivalent.

  • Familiar with basic elements of marketing (i.e., media, interactive, relationship marketing, promotions, advertising, and merchandising).

  • Experience with media buying and managing a budget.

  • Experience leading a project team in all aspects of project execution.

  • Experience with tight and aggressive deadlines.

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Familiar with creative design processes.


It would be nice to have...

  • Experience in driving ticket sales and revenue preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of graphic and brand standards to collaborate with graphic/creative designers concisely and effectively.

  • Budget and monthly forecasting experience.

  • Survey creation/analysis.

  • Event planning/operations experience.


What you will bring...

  • Communication skills: Impeccable writing skills are a prerequisite as you will frequently have to write/ proof copy for marketing campaigns. You will manage relationships with internal teams and third parties as well as communication materials to a non-marketing audience, such as senior-level managers within the organization. Non-marketing audiences need to be able to understand when you explain data-informed decisions.

  • Project management skills: As the Marketing Manager you will execute within a budget, meet deadlines for multiple projects and ensure ROI on marketing campaigns. You need to be a strong planner and extremely detail oriented.

  • Analytical skills: An effective Marketing Manager needs to be good with words and numbers. You can acquire data and use it to target selected groups, as well as analyze the success or otherwise of campaigns. You naturally and proactively analyze objectives, challenges, or concerns to find creative solutions.

  • Other duties as assigned, including cross-training into other departments.


Work environment & physical demands...

  • This is a full-time position and schedules are based on business needs. Occasional evening, overnight, and weekend work will be required at times.

  • This position does not require supervisory responsibility.
