Description

We are currently seeking an Operations Manager for one of our Dallas warehouses located in Carrollton, TX. Do you have experience in the industry with Residential Furniture Rental Operations? If so, read on!

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Operations Manager is responsible for planning and directing the different work activities of the warehouse while delegating duties with respect and fostering teamwork and AFR culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate weekly Operations and Sales calls via Teams internal communication system.
  • Oversee order picking, preparation, and shipment of orders and transfers.
  • Work with and monitor delivery teams by providing support while transactions are carried out.
  • Walk and inspect both inbound and outbound orders and transfers to destination.
  • Train and monitor delivery teams and pickers.
  • Handle calls from delivery teams.
  • Work with Branch Managers to route trucks.
  • Oversee and inspect the quality of the previous days.
  • Triage and approve of all products going into racks.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required by management.
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS/ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of the Residential Furniture Rental industry is essential. They should be familiar with industry trends, best practices.
  • Organizational Skills: An AFR Branch Manger requires meticulous planning and coordination. A manager should have excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks, deadlines, and logistics effectively.
  • Leadership Abilities: As a manager, they will be responsible for leading a team and ensuring smooth operations. Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members, are crucial.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective communication is vital as an AFR Branch Manager. A manager should be able to clearly convey objectives, instructions, and expectations to the team.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Unexpected challenges can arise. An experienced manager should possess excellent problem-solving skills to address issues quickly and find creative solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail is critical in the field to ensure that every aspect of operations is well-executed. A manager should have a keen eye for detail and be able to spot potential issues before they become problems.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Daily operation management can be dynamic and fast-paced. A manager should be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances, able to adjust plans and strategies as needed.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: An experienced manager should have the ability to create and manage budgets effectively, maximizing resources and ensuring financial success.
  • Customer service and customer relations skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and business ethics.
  • Personnel management and delegation skills.
  • These qualities, combined with relevant experience, will enable an experienced manager to successfully navigate the challenges of our daily operations and drive positive results for our company.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Languages: English and Spanish languages, verbal and written.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous management experience in a Residential Furniture Rental distribution center environment required.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: Forklift license, certified by AFR.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to perform complex tasks, rational thinking and numerical calculations is required.
  • This job will require a level of physical movement in a warehouse environment.
  • This job will require lifting and/or moving objects up to 75 pounds, climbing stairs, bending, crouching, and being physically active for extended periods of time.
