We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Air Liquide Large Industries North America (LI NAM) is actively seeking a senior level Maintenance Planner/Scheduler. The individual will perform (but not be limited to) the following responsibilities:

  • This role will perform planning and scheduling for the I&E and Maintenance technicians for the GCPL Eastern Basin located in the Beaumont/Port Neches TX area.
  • Accountable for compliance with all Air Liquide Policies, including HSE and governmental requirements
  • Utilize the CMMS (Maximo) for development of detailed work order job planning
  • Drive personal engagement to ensure alignment with Plant objectives and all team members
  • Ensure Daily & Weekly schedule development and execution is properly planned and staffed, including interfacing with Safety, Engineering, Controls, Technicians & Operations to assure adequate participation
  • Daily prepare and optimize the schedule and maintain resource loading
  • Conduct daily scheduling meetings with Plant/Operations Managers during the week to update Day-Ahead schedule
  • Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance to ensure that the scheduling of LOTO's equipment and safe work permitting is properly communicated.
  • Track prior schedule to incorporate any unaddressed items or adjust for exceptional events.
  • Develop detailed job plans for PM and CM work orders, including submitting related purchase requisitions and the subsequent receiving of materials/services with updates to the Maximo work order log.
  • Six weeks before 3rd party PM work orders are due, initiate contact with the contractor to ensure PM is done before the due date. Update work order log as the information is received, with communication, PO issuance, and date scheduled.
  • Coordinate accurate work scope and resource requirements for Field Sourcing Services to provide cost-effective contracting of services and material on items or services exceeding $10K.
  • Coordinate and ensure that kitting of work orders is complete prior to releasing jobs to schedule
  • Follow up on the PO's for work orders having long lead time parts or service status to resolve obstacles
  • Lead daily & weekly planning meetings to assign resources and define schedules
  • Ensure planning is developed to meet the scope, schedule and budget deliverables
  • Engage Subject matter experts to direct and oversee vendor shop repairs ensure highest quality work and adherence to Air Liquide standards
  • Plans plant based local exceptional maintenance and escalates to National Maintenance when necessary
  • Ensure prompt attention to job plan development and securing resources in discovery work situations
  • Drive the optimization of job plans via feedback from the technicians & operations on improved methods and the Lessons Learned process
  • Communicate concerns and issues related to work status to the Maintenance Manager in a timely manner.
  • Ensure proper documentation of work within Maximo -Review vendor repair, test & inspection reports communicating results summary to affected plants.
  • Assist Maintenance team in maintaining equipment manuals
  • Assure issues are resolved in a timely manner to minimize impacts
  • Work with the National Warehouse and National maintenance to identify strategic (Inventory Supply Request) ISR's.
  • Work with national warehouse to assure spare parts stocking at national warehouse
  • Participate in and understand the R&M budgeting process. Participate in the development of annual maintenance schedule, budget and turnaround plans
  • Utilize and adhere to the corporate technical standards
  • Make suggestions to improve plant safety, efficiency, reliability and quality
  • Lead by example and motivate others to excel and succeed
  • Set and maintain high housekeeping standards
  • Ability to take on call status for after hours or weekend issues

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; 2 year associates degree in a technical field or technical training preferred

  • 5+ years maintenance experience

  • Extensive use of the CMMS (Maximo) preferred

  • Experience in building detailed job plans

  • Proficiency in the use of Google Chrome applications, particularly Gmail, Sheets and Drive preferred

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel

  • Comfortable in both corporate and field environments

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize in periods of peak work volume

  • Ability to work self directed, make sound decisions

  • Knowledge of implementing and participating in continuous improvement procedure

  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred Requirements:

  • 2 year associates degree in a technical field or technical training or 5+ years experience in plant maintenance planning activities

  • Air Separation experience

  • Demag, Atlas Copco, Sulzer, Siemens and Joy compressor experience

  • Working knowledge with the use of a CMMS, Maximo experience

  • FES/GEA refrigeration experience is a plus

  • Natural gas fired heater experience is a plus

  • Understanding of Vibration Analysis, use of data collector is a plus

  • Thorough understanding of safety requirements when working around plant equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • Has full range of motion and ability to lift 50 lbs

  • Able to climb ladders and work off elevated platforms/surfaces

  • Able to work in non-conditioned environment for extended periods

  • Able to enter confined spaces for inspection, testing and work
