Air Quality Engineer/Scientist

Overview

You'll work under the direction of project managers and other senior staff to assist clients in the manufacturing, power, natural gas, mining, and waste industries to obtain air quality permits, expand their existing operations, and comply with ongoing state and federal regulations. Both field and office work will be involved. Field services may include meteorological monitoring, ambient air monitoring, real-time instrument measurements of pollutant concentrations, visible evaluation of fugitive emissions, and other related activities. Office services will require strong analytical and good communications skills to evaluate data, perform calculations, learn environmental regulations, and complete regulatory forms.

Qualifications
    B.S. or M.S. in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Meteorology, or related fields;
  • Experience with atmospheric emission inventory calculations, air permit application preparation, and pollution control technologies; and
  • 5-8 years' consulting, compliance, or industry experience; Knowledge of OH, PA, WV Regulations, and USEPA air quality regulations;
  • Knowledge of New Source Review procedures;
  • Familiarity with air compliance needs of the natural gas, manufacturing, or power industries; and
  • Dispersion modeling experience using AERMOD.
