Under the direction of Director of Rehabilitation, the Speech-Language Pathologist will provide high quality, cost effective therapeutic intervention to patients. Will provide education regarding prevention and treatment of injury and disease to patients and to the community and demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, treatment options and care appropriate to the ages of patients served - pediatric, adult and geriatric. The therapist will assists in emergency situations as appropriate, performs other duties related to the function of the speech therapy and/or rehabilitation program when assigned as well as follow policy and procedures set by WCCH and maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
1. Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia for Speech-Language Pathologist, and in good standing with the Board.
2. BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
3. Minimum of two years previous speech pathology experience required.
4. Effective communication, analytical, counseling, organizational and interpersonal skills.
