Job Description

The RSP Fort Worth team provides engineering expertise to a diverse client base. The team completes hundreds of projects a year ranging from ground-up to renovation or expansion. This office provides a stable place to grow as you work directly with the client and project manager, and offers much flexibility to align with the work/life balance. Currently, our growing team is seeking a Structural Engineer with proficiency in the design and detailing of industrial building types, and has a strong background in foundation, concrete, steel and tilt-up design.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Deliver accurate project plans, specifications and construction documents on time and within budget to exceed client's expectations
  • Coordinate with client's vendors, consultants, permit expeditors, general contractors, state and city officials and inspectors throughout the CD and CA phases of a project
  • Prepare structural engineering calculations and design, prepare detailing and direct drafting production staff
  • Coordinate technical efforts with other team members
  • Budget and schedule management
  • Mentor younger engineers and designers

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelors or better in Structural Engineering or related field required
  • 5 years Project Structural Engineering experience required
  • Relevant project experience in industrial building design preferred
  • Someone that thrives under pressure that brings about high reward
  • Competency to prioritize effectively and adjust work accordingly to meet deadlines
  • Commitment to helping the team and client succeed
  • Has strong organization, multitasking and problem-solving skills
  • Literate in building codes
  • Aspires to give outstanding customer service
