Regional Sales Manager - HDPE

Who We Are Looking For:

Atkore currently has an opening for an HDPE Regional Sales Manager. This position is to be located in the greater US-must live at or around a major airport). Reporting to the HDPE Vice President of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager will have primary responsibility for driving revenue and market share growth in the broadband markets selling HDPE conduit and related products.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive continued growth for our HDPE product portfolio through our network of agents and distributors, as well as key end user influencers and specifiers at the engineering, distribution and contractor levels.
  • Educate, train & develop our Sales Agents and end users on products through presentations, demonstrations, job site visits, and field training.
  • Develop strategic sales programs to deliver profitable regional growth.
  • Execute pre-call planning and in-depth reporting in Salesforce.com.
  • Enter, track, manage, and report on projects, opportunities, and territory sales plans using Salesforce.com and other tools as needed.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences as needed.
  • Collaborate and partner closely with the strategic account sales leadership and the business unit commercial and operational teams.
  • Conduct sales objective reviews by product.
  • Profile and report on competitive market intelligence, including strengths and weakness.
  • Assist in the evaluation and processing of field quality complaints and returns.
  • Identify opportunities for and drive process improvements working closely with functional departments and business units and create standard work.
  • Support buying group activities.
  • Manage travel & entertainment expenses in a timely and efficient manner.

What You Bring:

  • Must be willing and able to work remotely and travel 75% of the time.
  • Bachelor's Degree required with 5 plus years of related experience in broadband and telecommunication industries.
  • Experience in HDPE duct and fiberoptics applications around the country, with the ability to influence and write specifications.
  • Work with agent sales network to deliver top line revenue growth required to meet/exceed division goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiating, presentation and analytical skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in the use of Windows Applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
  • Prior use of Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Must have experience working with contractors.

Within 3 Months, You'll:

  • Complete your new hire "Immersion" so that you are ready to rock in your new role.
  • Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
  • Have a fully developed strategic "go-to-market" plan for the broadband and telecommunication markets and have identified key customers, engineers, specifiers and end user contacts.

Within 6 Months, You'll:

  • Be actively executing your "go-to-market" plan.
  • Have made contact with all major customers, engineers, specifiers and end users.
  • Be achieving sales and demonstrable market penetration.

Within 12 Months, You'll:

  • Be driving towards forecasted growth, sales and budget performance.
  • Understand the unique dimensions of your territory.
  • Know where to bid on work that is a good fit and distinguish.
