Job Description

LCRA is seeking a highly motivated, experienced and people focused leader for its Transmission Project Management team! We are a top tier Transmission utility in the state, and this role will lead critical efforts to run a multi-billion dollar capital plan in support of growing Texas. You will be trusted to:

  • Provide guidance and direction to a staff of more than 45 individuals.
  • Promote a common departmental vision, strategies, goals and objectives that are in alignment with those of LCRA.
  • Provide strategic leadership to build a flexible and efficient project management experience.
  • Provide leadership and have overall responsibility for the full portfolio of projects with a focus on risk mitigation, schedule adherence and cost-consciousness in adherence with LCRA policies.
  • Continuously identify new opportunities for efficiencies and process improvements.
  • Make recommendations, proposals and presentations to senior management.

You qualify with:

  • Twelve or more years of experience in project management or business including managing scope, schedule and budget,or other relevant experience, and including five or more years of supervisory experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in project management, business, finance, engineering, construction management, information technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar projects
  • At least five years of experience and demonstrated skill in planning, scheduling, prioritizing and coordinating work
  • At least five years of experience and demonstrated skill in executing projects on time and on budget, to include experience with complex, large-scale initiatives
  • Advanced skill in building relationships and fostering teamwork
  • Advanced skill in establishing concrete, actionable work plans from ambiguous information and directives
  • Strong, broad-based business acumen and analytical skills
  • Driver's license

You are a great fit with:

  • Professional Project Management (PMP) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) Certifications
  • Experience leading a multi-disciplined project management team, using project management software, conducting financial analysis and reporting, and in developing and applying metrics, both internally and externally, to drive performance
  • Well versed ability of improving processes and systems
  • Ability to balance and handle high-priority work demands
