Job Description

If you enjoy serving local communities and making positive impacts to the real world using your engineering knowledge and skills, LCRA has an opportunity for you as an Engineer Associate. This position offers you excellent opportunities to learn and grow through hands-on project experience under the supervision of a group of seasoned engineers and technical experts. You will have the unique opportunity to be involved in the whole project cycle from conceptual design, to detailed design, and construction oversite. As an engineer in LCRA Structural and Civil Engineering Department, you will work on the structural design of new and existing substations and telecommunications towers all over the state of Texas.

You will be trusted to:

Under the supervision of a Professional Engineer (PE) perform structural engineering calculations and designs for electric substation and telecommunication towers
-Use your creativity to design and detail new structures and retrofit existing ones
-Visit project sites and document field observations
-Communicate and work closely with multidisciplinary project team
-Manage individual projects schedules and scopes

You qualify with:

- Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science plus four or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job.
- Driver's license

You are a great fit with:

Experience with concrete and steel design
4+ years of design in the Structural or Civil discipline
Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (FE)
