Job Description

Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Fully supports, accurately completes, maintains, instills corporate Health, Safety and Environmental policies/procedures and relevant documentation at the facility in operating/maintaining responsibility for a safe, efficient, environmentally friendly facility

Follows all Food Safety, FDA, and cGMP policies in operating practices.

Actively pursuing own growth/career development through self-initiative practices; working with resources made available as coordinated with the supervisor.

Instills safety in others by being safety minded; models good safety practices.

Fosters open communication amongst all facility technicians in relation to best practices, operational/facility needs, safety issues/concerns, conflicts of interest between shifts/other departments, sharing operational knowledge/expertise.

Assists/works closely with lead production technician, maintenance coordinator or plant manager with daily facility needs.

Follows policies/procedures on proper notification for vacation scheduling, floating holidays, personal days off

Oversee instrumentation and/or electrical jobs with contractors and monitor contractor work quality (sign timesheets, manage housekeeping, inspect JQP's and Permits)

Conduct controls troubleshooting and repair, conduct electrical troubleshooting and repair, conduct instrumentation troubleshooting and repairs, conduct analyzer troubleshooting and repairs.

Responsible for conducting Housekeeping (During, throughout and at the end of job tasks)

Actively participate in RCA's as required

Participate in the execution and improvement of the facility's I&E PMs

Execute work orders, identify corrective maintenance items and enter work orders into Maximo

Identify I&E critical equipment and critical spare parts for the facility. Manage the spare part inventory for these items.

Maintain test equipment calibration and associated records

Maintain I&E and Analyzer equipment records in both Maximo and in written form

Maintain facility P&ID schematics.

Responsible for preventative maintenance and reliability programs for instrumentation on rotating and stationary equipment.

Maintain electrical drawing redlines based on management of change projects.

Troubleshoot plant electrical, controls, instrumentation and analyzer issues when required in a timely manner.

Able to manage I&E contractors that come onsite to support major turnarounds or CAP projects

Support additional maintenance and operational issues as requested by management

Write equipment repair procedures and standard job procedures; assist when consulted in the MOC process.

Maximo Experience preferred

5-7 years experience


Ability to work overtime as needed. Including holidays and weekends

Overall understanding of plant safety rules, regulations, company safety policies/procedures

Performs all work in compliance with standard operating/maintenance procedures, utilizing current Life Safety skills, Safe Start and safety requirements including safe work permits, energy control isolation, IDLs, confined space entry work, hot work, work plans, pre-job discussions, plant safety inspections, etc

Exhibits understanding of governmental regulations including Food Safety, FDA, Current Good Manufacturing Practices, and environmental permitting/compliance, loading /quality assurance, basic electricity, national/local operating procedures, CMMS, maintenance management process, all HSE issues associated with the facility

Preferred Requirements:
Associates degree preferred
