Job Description
Bartlett Cocke General Contractors in Houston, TX is currently seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our East Texas team! The Assistant Superintendent assists the Superintendent in overall site responsibilities to complete the project within the specified contract duration while obtaining anticipated profits and adhering to and enforcing all company policies and procedures. 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Assisting the Superintendent with the timely submittal of logs, reports, invoices, timecards, etc. 
  • Review of submittals, dimensions & constructability. 
  • Project planning and scheduling procedures with the company's scheduling software.
  • Assist the Superintendent with organization, distribution, filing and tracking of documents related to the project.
  • Assist the Superintendent in planning/supervising craft activities including method of construction, efficient manpower levels, material quantities, equipment/equipment inventory, temporary facilities, work schedules, documenting man-hours.
  • Adherence to company safety guidelines.
  • Maintain project team relationships and assist Superintendent in mentoring new employees consistent with the "Bartlett Cocke Way."

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS or BA in Construction Science/Engineering or equivalent experience in construction will be considered in lieu of degree
  • 3+ years of previous commercial construction industry experience.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and able to operate a computer. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Willing to travel 2+hours radius of the city center of Houston
  • Commercial Construction experience Strongly Preferred
  • Valid Texas Driver's license and meet company's auto insurability requirements.
