Job Description
Bartlett Cocke General Contractors is currently seeking a Business Analyst/Data Analyst/ERP Manager to join our ERP & Analytics Team! The Business Analyst/Data Analyst/ERP Manager has a broad knowledge of business analysis, data analysis, and ERP experience. Mastery of these distinct areas may be rare, but subject mastery in one or two areas and a working knowledge in the remaining is sufficient.

Depending on area mastery, this role’s specific responsibilities may vary, but this role will be an essential part of the ERP and Analytics team, which strives to develop capabilities and processes that incorporate a wide range of views and inputs and can tailor outcomes to fit the best interests of the organization.  This dynamic position works directly with the ERP and analytics team as well as teams involved with IT, construction technology, operations, accounting, scheduling, estimating, preconstruction, marketing, business development, HR, training, safety, quality control, and equipment. 

With an ever-evolving industry, we strive to stay on the forefront of technologies and processes, and this position will need to keep tabs on industry advances to test, develop, and implement these to improve the relevant areas of our organization.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
 
  • Work directly with the ERP and analytics team, department heads, project teams, and other internal teams to understand business needs and develop processes and reports with actionable data and insights.
  • Provide training and support as required on new processes, systems, tools, reports, etc. including the creation of training documentation to ensure an effective implementation.
  • In collaboration with department leadership, define the key insights and metrics the business needs and help develop applicable datasets, dashboards and/or methods.
  • Take a deep dive into data to understand data quality and completeness and recommend process changes and additions to ensure data consistency and integrity to create a cohesive data system.
  • Manage, update, and test system(s) to ensure they provide company with proper business solutions and accurate results.
  • Identify areas for enhancements and improvements to the system(s) and the departments they support.
  • Conform to company guidelines when handling sensitive and confidential data.

Minimum Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher education from an accredited college or university (or ten [10+] years of relevant industry experience).
  • Three (3+) years analyst or ERP experience required.
  • Experience with data visualization/BI tools required – Power BI preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems required – CMiC preferred.
  • Working knowledge of database systems and technology infrastructures.
  • Understanding of how business decisions are evaluated across various departments (operations, accounting, risk, etc.) and ability to apply this understanding.
  • Ability to translate technical applications and issues into non-technical, layman’s terms.
  • Passion for the use of data and business intelligence to optimize business performance.
  • Working knowledge of database systems and technology infrastructures.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication (written, verbal, and visual) and analytical skills are needed.


Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Experience with programming or query languages such as Python, DAX, SQL or similar.
  • Knowledge/experience in the construction industry preferred.
