Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO

We are seeking a strong candidate with experience and passion to fill a Product Manager position in BCG GAMMA. This role will be responsible for accelerating the growth of technology solutions to support the fast-growing data assets business in BCG. S/he will lead critical strategic initiatives - including the build & management of a common data platform, major integration efforts of new products/portfolios, and actively work with the leadership team to define & implement overall strategy. We are looking for proven performers with 5+ years of experience in product management, B2B SaaS, technology, and/or data.

You will provide strategic oversight & lead projects towards building an integrated technology foundation & platform for BCG data assets:

  • Define strategy and long-term roadmap for technology efforts supporting BCG data assets (including data architecture, data governance, services, and end-user apps)
  • Consolidate & streamline efforts across different BCG teams, and build out a common technology foundation for data assets (covering proprietary and third-party data, algos, models, etc.)
  • Build strong integrations with other BCG software solutions & offerings - enable commercialization of data & models, and actively support BCG consulting work
  • Lead & provide business leadership visibility into the engineering & product teams
  • Evangelize the platform with the broader BCG community and our clients, and work closely with product owners & teams in onboarding them to the platform

YOU'RE GOOD AT
  • Coordinating strategic & business critical efforts with senior stakeholders, and effectively influencing them to move to alignment
  • Translating competing trade-offs into an actionable & prioritized roadmap
  • Being comfortable with ambiguity, hypothesis-driven thinking, and working with incomplete information
  • Effectively executing on agreed upon roadmap with the right resource/capital allocation, release planning and ensuring uptake with key user segments
  • Understanding major technology trends in data & analytics tools (public cloud services, data storage, differential privacy, machine learning, AI, analytics & modelling, visualization, etc.)
  • Understanding the key drivers of the business, and providing valuable strategic insight to the leadership team on how to expand & grow the business
  • Effectively communicating the impact of technology & state-of-the-art technical solutions, to a non-technical audience
  • Managing & working with global, cross-functional agile teams
  • Effectively writing and packaging content tailored appropriately to the audience

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree from a top tier institution preferred
  • 5+ years in product management, B2B SaaS, technology and/or data-related fields
  • Demonstrated ability in launching & managing multiple B2B products/projects that have significant commercial impact
  • Demonstrated ability in managing engineering & data teams, and driving them to impactful outcomes
  • Demonstrated success developing sustained & deep relationships with senior-level stakeholders; with an ability to influence outcomes even without formal authority
  • Ability to create order from chaos, breaking down complex problems into smaller ones, prioritize based on impact and write a clear-written, data-informed business case
