The payroll co-op will support the payroll team in the preparation of bi-weekly exempt and non-exempt payrolls for over 5,000+ employees across the United States. This individual will act as liaison with local HR staff to ensure proper paperwork is received and will help to maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Basic duties include the following while maintaining strict privacy guidelines and confidentiality at all times.
The right candidate must be highly organized, an eye for detail and enjoy working with numbers.
Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data
Update employee indicative data into the payroll product
Distribution/mailing of pay checks
Special projects as needed
Knowledge of excel
Ability to multi-task or change gears quickly
Attention to detail
Communicate effectively via email, IM and live discussion
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
The payroll team has a staff of 9 individuals consisting of Payroll Specialists, Payroll Analysts, Team Lead and a Payroll Manager. We process bi-weekly and monthly payrolls working closely with the benefits and local HR teams across the US. When not processing payrolls we have projects that support our customers and data collection for annual W2 reporting.
