Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
We are currently seeking a Research Analyst to join the ValueScience Center within the Corporate Finance & Strategy Practice Area. The Research Analyst will perform financial analysis and valuations utilizing publicly reported data through databases such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg and Refinitiv. Some of the analyses include, but are not limited to, Shareholder Return Analysis (TSR), Corporate Valuation and Financial Benchmarking. The individual will also be responsible for building financial models to analyze the capital markets impact of strategic plans, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and financial policies (debt issuance, dividend policy change).

The Research Analyst will also share topic/sector insights and points of view more broadly within the firm. He/she will interface with BCG stakeholders, managers and project leaders to generate insights pertinent to the financial aspects of clients, integrate analysis efforts into proposals/projects, and create high quality presentations for clients.


YOU'RE GOOD AT
  • Partnering with case (and proposal) teams to identify and address critical analysis needs
  • Providing customized analysis for client work; preparing accurate, well developed slides and back-up spreadsheets
  • Delivering original analysis and insights to case team; providing thought partnership
  • Liaising with other BCG departments to ensure that requests for expertise are addressed by VSC and appropriate analysis is delivered

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
* Bachelor's Degree, with high academic achievement required
* Sincere interest in corporate finance and valuation
* Strong work ethic and service-mentality
* Collaborative, team player
* Strong mathematics and analytical skills
* Effective written and verbal communication
* Proficiency in Excel
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to manage multiple parallel tasks
* Strong interpersonal skills, credibility
* Ability to maintain discretion when needed
