IT Lead Engineer - Messaging and Communities

Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
BCG's Messaging and Communities team is seeking a knowledgeable and talented Lead Engineer to provide technical expertise and support/enhancement of our Messaging and Communities solutions. Core environments we support include Slack, MS Teams and Skype for Business (on-premise).
In partnership with your team members, your duties will include:

YOU'LL WORK WITH
This individual will collaborate with other BCG information technology teams such as Identity, Information Management and Hosting to ensure alignment with BCG's overall IT architecture plan.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Effective November 1, 2021, all new US hires must be fully vaccinated* or subject to a religious or medical exemption.
*two weeks after receiving the final dose of a WHO-approved COVID19 vaccine

- Supporting and administering Slack, MS Teams and Skype for Business.
- Driving and administering changes and solutions, to provide the best experience for our users
- Identifying and supporting opportunities to implement automation capabilities to reduce manual work and human error
- Working within an agile environment to drive incremental improvements across all our messaging solutions
- Supporting other areas of BCG Digital Collaboration team as needed
YOU'RE GOOD AT
- Strong comprehensive problem-solving skills to identify and solve issues quickly
- Working independently as well as part of a virtual, geographically dispersed team bringing a sense of urgency to the tasks at hand
- Effectively handling difficult and stressful situations with poise, tact, and patience, while demonstrating a sense of urgency
- Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and quality-minded
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- Deep understanding of Slack, MS Teams, Skype for Business along with O365 in general
- Extensive knowledge of administering and supporting messaging solutions within an enterprise environment
- Experience with collaborating in complex IT environments to provide high levels of support
- Experience migrating users, messaging history to new platforms
YOU'LL WORK WITH
