As a squad member, you will bring QA expertise to your cross-functional Agile Product team responsible for building enterprise-level applications. This Lead QA Automation Engineer oversees all aspects of software and product testing within the squad. This may include developing test strategies, QA Automation, drawing up test documents, identifying bugs, and reviewing reports. QA Automation Engineer should have extensive experience in analytics, high-level problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage stakeholders
Among your responsibilities, you will:
Work in a Squad to realize its mission
Advancing the work of the Squad based on items in the backlog and priorities set by the Product Owner
Sharing expertise with Squad members and working cross-functionally to advance the work of the Squad
Enable the organization's new way of working
Modelling behaviors to support the organization's transformation to a new way of working
Actively creating and maintaining a positive culture within the Chapter based on Agile leadership behaviors
YOU'RE GOOD AT
Collaborating in a cross-functional team to understand requirements and generate a test run to validate the user story
Setting up all automated testing necessary for regression testing as appropriate
Identifying and logging potential quality issues and escalating for resolution to the tech dev. resources
Logging, isolating, and documenting actions to replicate any issues or bugs discovered during testing
Tracks and monitors logged issues and bugs to ensure timely resolution
Confronted with technical challenges to ensure quality, must find creative, economical, and elegant solutions
Are intellectually curious and enjoy learning new skills and capabilities (e.g., Agile principles and technology platforms)
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering or Math
5 years of experience in IT Service Delivery, especially in Quality Assurance
3+ years of experience in automated testing skills
Experience in different software development models and life cycle, including continuous delivery
Experience working with QA testing framework and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, Protractor, Rest Assured etc.,)
Experience working with NeoLoad, ANTS Memory/Performance profiler and Jetbrain Performance Profiler.
Experience in mobile application development and quality assurance
Knowledge of Agile Methodologies and ways of working (Scrum, XP, Kanban),
Nice to have:
Experience with Source control systems like GIT, TFS
Experience with modern front-end frameworks (Angular, React, Vue.js)
Experience with Continuous Integration tools (i.e., Octopus, Hudson, Jenkins)
YOU'LL WORK WITH
Squad members of a specific squad, led by a Product Owner
Other Engineers, QA and Chapter Leads in the Knowledge Tribe.
Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters, that will ensure that you adopt agile principles, mindset and ways of working into your daily routine and who will coach you during the transformation
