Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Knowledge Analyst (KA) within BCG's Center for Growth & Innovation Analytics, CFS Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, providing functional expertise, original analyses, thought partnership and insights, working together with BCG case and proposal teams to deliver customized knowledge assets and expert advisory. You will execute and coordinate complex research and analysis requests across regions, with a focus on patent/IP analytics, scientific papers, funding, and networks (e.g., benchmarking, usage of practice proprietary tools, conducting Intellectual Prop. or networks related research and analysis on relevant industries or companies). Deliver original analysis and insights to consulting team and provide thought partnership.

In addition, you will support with guidance from senior colleagues, your topic/sector in developing intellectual property & knowledge assets and managing content on internal BCG websites, ensuring availability of latest, high-quality content. You will also support business development and go-to-market efforts of the topic business, as opportunities arise, contributing research and analysis to marketing efforts.

The Corporate Finance & Strategy Practice is one of BCG's functional practice areas. The CFS practice develops-and commercializes-fresh and practical perspectives on the critical strategic challenges confronting our clients: developing the right corporate strategy, managing assets, driving growth, fostering innovation, and achieving sustainability. We also seek to enhance the corporate strategy proficiency of both our clients and our client-service teams.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree (preferred) with high academic achievement required, particularly in areas of chemistry, engineering, computer science, applied math/physics, or life sciences.
* 1-3 years' of work experience with IP knowledge/ research, IP analytics, data science or consulting experience.
* Prior experience or background in IP/ patent research, technology transfer, or patent analytics is desirable.
* Expert knowledge of Excel, Access, network visualization and analysis tools (e.g. Giphy, others), social network/ sentiment analysis and/or basic programming capabilities (Python, R) will be an added asset.
* Strong analytical skills, ability & desire to work with large datasets and demonstrated attention to detail.
